I originally wrote the firt review just after purchase of my CDX turbo diesel and thought I might revisit this now that I have had the car for just on one year.

I remain well pleased with this car. It's very comfortable and performs very well indeed. I've just completed a country run of 630 kms and without any attempt to conserve fuel it returned 6.7 litres per 100 kms - much of the trip done at 110 kms per hour.

The car is quiet and the seats are excellent - I'm over 6 foot tall and 110 kilo's and this car is spacious and just lovely to live with. After one year of trouble free ownership, I remain well pleased and would happily purchase another Cruze turbo-diesel.

While this is a brand new car, I am unable to realistically comment on long term aspects. However, I am well pleased so far. The Cruze is very comfortable, performs extremely well, looks good and is easy to live with. The quality seems to be very good with excellent panel fit and a feeling of solidity. With long seat travel, there is plenty of interior space and the leather body hugging seats feel pretty classy. I'm a big bloke and I'm comfortable in this car.

We live outside the city, so don't experience stop/start driving and economy is outstanding at 5.85 litres per 100 kilometres. Given that it is brand new, that figure will get even better as the new engine settles in.

Given the price and excellent equipment level fitted as standard, this is a car I am very satisfied with and the doors close with a pleasant solid clunk, not a clang. I am able to approach the Cruze with a level of pleasant satisfaction and confidence, knowing it will perform to my reasonable expectations, convey me comfortably and at a price that allows me to be enthusiastic rather than concerned.

My Holden Cruze is the 1.8l petrol model. The car itself looks good and gets me from A to B. Apart from the car not having any guts to it the build quality leaves a lot to be desired. Also the vehicle is supposed to be one of the most fuel efficient cars on the market at the moment however i have been averaging around 320 to 350 km a tank which is fairly terrible. The car also has issues with a noise when reversing which holden are yet to identify or fix (i wouldnt have thought it'd be that hard). All in all it is a great looking car that has been poorly built. For the price of this car there are much better options out there in the market for much better value.

I have only had the Vehicle 1 week but from the time i drove it out of the dealership it felt very solid and tight on the road , the ride being firmish but very comfortable, the layout of the dash and centre consol is very intuative, i found everything easy to operate from the clearly marked controls and switches, i think the Cruze is a practical car having good room for the comfort of passengers to the generous boot (for my golf clubs) and the extra room provided by the 60/40 split fold down seats increasing the already ample room for luggage etc, Value for money i believe is excellent for a vehicle with full leather interior, heated front seats ( My wife and i have already used the heated seats on one really cold night and they work beautifully) reversing sensors, auto head lights, the list goes on, We both love the look , from its perposful front to its flowing lines especially looking from the front down the high waste line side.
